What Are Product Impressions in TikTok Shop Creator Analytics?
Direct answer
Product Impressions are the exposure stage of the product-related reporting funnel: they count appearances of the linked product or shopping entry in the relevant report context. They are not automatically the same as video views. Product Clicks follow this exposure stage. Labels and counting contexts can vary by report surface or version, so ShoppableLab uses the evidence-supported Product Impressions term consistently in its fixed fictional Practice.
Practice reading Product ImpressionsThe first product-funnel stage
Product Impressions provide the exposure context before Product Clicks. The inspected terminology describes the product appearing in video, LIVE, or product-card contexts, while creator reports can use version-dependent labels or groupings.
Because a video view and a product appearance describe different things, do not substitute one for the other unless the report itself defines them that way.
Read exposure without inventing a cause
Product Impressions can show how much product-related exposure entered the reported funnel. They do not by themselves explain why exposure was high or low, and ShoppableLab does not invent a universal counting rule.
In the fictional Practice, read Product Impressions before Product Clicks, then continue to SKU Orders. The separate Diagnostic remains its own visible state.
Q&A
Common questions
Are Product Impressions the same as video views?
Not automatically. Video views describe viewing of the video; Product Impressions describe product-related exposure in the relevant report context.
What comes after Product Impressions in the funnel?
Product Clicks are the next transition in the ShoppableLab fictional funnel, followed by attributed SKU Orders.
Independent training boundary: ShoppableLab uses fixed fictional Practice states and does not access, modify, or diagnose a real TikTok Shop account.
