Attach a product
What Is a TikTok Shop Product Link?
Direct answer
A product link is the creator-side connection attached to eligible content so viewers can reach the associated product path. Viewers may encounter a connected product card or other shopping entry. In the inspected pre-publish flow, the creator uses Add link, chooses Product, selects a product, confirms its display name, and returns to the composer. Link Products after publishing is a separate, eligibility-limited workflow. ShoppableLab practices pre-publish attachment and stops before publishing.
Practice attaching a productAttach the product before publishing
The inspected creator flow shows a prepared Post composer, Add link, Product, a product picker, a product-name confirmation, and return to the composer with the product attached. A ready saved product can be selected, while an unavailable product should not be treated as repairable inside that picker.
ShoppableLab reconstructs only that bounded path with fictional data. Its Post control never submits anything.
Post-publish linking is a separate boundary
The inspected Link Products workflow can add product links to some already posted short videos, but eligibility conditions apply and the behavior is not universal. Other evidence shows separate review and relinking states for links on published content.
Do not assume that any old video can be linked, that any existing link can be freely replaced, or that a creator can repair product eligibility.
Q&A
Common questions
Can I add a product link after publishing?
Some eligible posted videos may support the separate Link Products workflow. Availability and eligibility conditions apply, so it should not be described as universal.
Does ShoppableLab publish or edit a real product link?
No. It uses a fixed fictional product and ends with a simulated product attached to a draft before publication.
Independent training boundary: ShoppableLab uses fixed fictional Practice states and does not access, modify, or diagnose a real TikTok Shop account.
